The primary purpose of this site is to help develop a sense of community for staff and colleagues of Expert Support (XS). It's a place for us to hang out and communicate with one another.
The application that we're using to support the site (Moodle) includes a bunch of community-building tools (e.g. forum, blog, and wiki). It is based on a distance learning model, where each "course" is a self-contained unit. We extend the model to make some parts of the site public and others private in a pretty flexible way.
Everyone is welcome to browse the public parts of the site. If you would like access to parts that are hidden, please ask to be added to the right list. (See also "Access to resources on this site".) If you don't know who to ask, you probably don't belong in any of the private courses.
